Hi new to the Range Rover world I’ve got an 05 l322 that I got a year ago and it’s failed mot !! Rotten rear sills both sides . I see this is a common problem any help would be appreciated?? As I don’t have £1500 to doit

I ain't doing it for you.;)

All seriousness aside, I believe we have a member on here who had all his welding AND paint spraying undertaken for a paltry £1000, both sides.

There appears to be an outer arch repair panel available now, to the tune of £90 a corner, I wouldn't bother with that if it's only your sills that've gone. Any welderer can beat a bit of old fridge into approximately the right shape.

I did mine for almost naff all, cos I'm brilliant, and when I say mine what I mean is I elected to move it on sharpish cos it leaked through the body seams like a sieve.

I dare you to remove the drivers rear threshold strip and lift the carpet!

Welcome, there are inner and outer wheel arch panels now available and a competent body shop can make up the sill ends to finish the job. Be aware that the body is made from steel with a high boron content so must be welded in short runs to avoid cracking whilst cooling. There is a place nr Chester I believe that does them for £250 a side I personally wouldn't get out of bed to do the job for that money.Good luck.;):D
