New to 4x4, bought a '96 300 tdi Disco a few weeks ago, boy did it stink think a dog must have been living in it, tried everything but couldn't get the smell from the seating. Picked up some nice beige leathers all 7, so ripped out the old took the oportunity to remove the carpets and thoroughly vac and clean everything before fitting new seating. Had enough dog fur to knit a sweater.
Read a thread earlier, someone after electric seat switches, I too was after some, one scrap dealer was asking £115 + vat EACH, thats more than I paid for the seats!!! Got some jag ones off eBay and fitted them into centre consol. Just need some switches for the seat heating now.
Disco now has wind deflectors, white lights, side steps, neat little rear step. When I can prise myself away from tinkering with me pride & joy I'll get back to my other passion, carp fishing & the Disco will come in handy there for transporting all the gear.
