My Disco 2, which I have had now for approx 6 months, and covered 20k miles with it has proved utterly reliable and the service I have recieved from "James French in Standlake" who sold it to me and services it, has been excellent. They are really accomodating and put some of the main dealers to shame.
I've been really pleased with the way the car performs and it is used as a business vehicle and tows a twin axle trailer.
Its an ES 7 seater with auto box (ideal for towing) has had the "Turbochips" conversion which is far better than a "Superchips", in my opinion, which left it a bit flat. Also it has a "K&N Filter ".
Even though it has been chipped it still only averages 24 - 26 mpg, which is better than before it was chipped 21-23mpg, and about 18mpg when it is towing.
I am contemplating fitting a larger intercooler but am concerned that the return in performance does not justify the expense, would welcome any comments from forum members who have carried this out. I also thought about a Vortex Exhaust but have heard differing reports on this.
