I have a TD5 which I've just replaced the rear door lock on Passenger side.Noticed that this door position needs adjusting as the gap between door edge and body is different from the other side. Before I undo hinge bolts to adjust door position does anybody know whether there are loos nuts on the other side or a tapping plate.

Usually captive huts on a clip - people talk 'about J nuts'. If you slacken them off half a turn you have a little bit of adjustment. I usually loosen the screws, wedge the door up on a bit of cardboard or something (what Douglas Adams calls a 'Ludlow') and re tighten. If they're a bit rusty the captive nuts tend to liberate themselves. Might need the door striker moved to match afterwards. Panel gap is difficult to get perfect on Land Rovers because they're made to quite relaxed tolerances in the first place. Unless the door is absolutely impossible to close I wouldn't bother!
