hi, new here - looking at rangies and disco's..

thinking of buying a used rangie or disco - purely for road use.

looking for a good one as I intend to run it for at least 3 years. The wife will be the main user as I have my own wagon to ride, but will be the main family machine.

Welcome to the forum, I've had a couple of V8 Range Rovers in the past and have a 91 200Tdi Discovery now. I found the V8 a lovely engine but at 14mpg it was killing me as a day-to-day vehicle, couldn't fault them off-road though!
As for my Discovery, about 25mpg day-to-day running, more on long motorway journeys as long as I'm easy with the right foot! As for off-road, good but miss the V8 power!!!!
