Hi all,

Just bought my second landy! A 1984 2.5td 110, off eBay after a few beers, first was a 1956 series 1 and enjoyed returning it to the road, so thought I would try again, last time the 110 was taxed was 2003, oh what have I let myself in for ?

Bodywork: small amount of welding required that I have found so far, footwell, passenger side top of bulkhead on corner below window and the battery tray. Chassis good, so far. Few dents in it but not worried about these, adds character! Door bottoms both sides require replacing, back door not that good. Think they will be ok for MOT, we shall see.
Engine: got it started today, quite a bit of white smoke to start, but not much after it got to temperature. Filled cooling system with water, as it was empty, all appears good there, much to my surprise. Held temperature ok, not sure how old the diesel is in it!

Clutch and brakes have no pressure at the moment, so going to drain and replace fluid and bleed both systems, see what is required in this department.

Front lights are all working, none of the rear lights are working, so a bit of investigation required.

Overall I am thinking its a good landy, and hopefully back on the road soon, for a rolling restoration.

My other form of transport is a 2014 Triumph Explorer XC, fantastic bike, the rangerover of bikes.

All the best Pompey.

Pxed the Harley, kawasaki and transit, for the Triumph, really good decision. Can do the job of both bikes, with the comfort of heated seats, makes Sue ( aka TheWarDepartment, lol ) happy. 1215cc 140bhp, good riding position, pulls in top gear no matter what speed you are doing. Designed in England and built in England.

Yes Lancy now, Kernow previous, Pompey before that and cockney by birth lol.

All the best, look forward to your advice, can't wait to ask what tyres are best! Lol

Had a Triumph in here today, one of the Lincolnshire bikers staying at Lindas, been down for the a bike rally. I think it was a 1000cc speed triple, looked nice! :)

Round black ones with a hole in the middle could be an option ;):D

A mate of mine has a speed triple, reckons it's ace, not been out with him whilst on that, it's his Sunday bike. Took a bonneville out whilst mine had a service I loved it great pooling machine, next I want to take out is a 675 Daytona, described as a BMX with an engine, can't wait.

I do recommend Linda's to anybody that shows the minimum amount of interest, great place for a rally for 1 or 4 wheel drive!

Thanks for all the welcomes so far, already had a good read and getting upto speed on Landys again, great site so far, hopefully I manage to post any enquiries in the correct section :/ ( and manage to search before asking a silly question )
