Hi there,
My names Chris, Im the owner of an Italian car specialist near Rickmansworth, Watford Proalfa | Italian Car Specialist in Watford Hertfordshire, i have grown up around land rovers and have just purchased my second, a 1994 3 door disco 300tdi, we currently race a few cars in the alfa romeo championship and needed another tow vehicle i had to use it as an excuse to get another land rover!
my last landy was a p38 autobiography 4,6, which was surprisingly good off road in road trim, but it was too expensive to run every day.
onto the new car!
I was looking for a disco which had most of the off road mods i wanted already fitted, this one came with lifted shocks and springs, wheels and tyres, winch and snorkel, i dorve it home 150miles yesterday at 70-80mph and it was fine(ish lol)
the wheels need balancing, i may also purchase some road tyres. tapping noise from the engine, i suspect vacum pump, a few other noise's, im sure once i get it on the ramp on Monday the list will grow!!
ohh.....................and rust............ it was had a new boot floor which has been fitted rather well, a few other bits have been patched up good but the the sills are bad lol both sides will be replaced inners and outers
could any one point me in the direction for any local meets/greenlaning/payandplay days? or if anyones local to us pop in!
