I have been driven in Landys growing up in Africa . More recently driving them through the bush in Northern Kenya since 2006.
I live in Wales and a 1986 110 has just come for sale from a friend of a friend and I'm sorely tempted.
Exforces and they changed the petrol engine for a 2.5 diesel...non turbo in 1900.
It drives like a tank,
drivers door is split below the lower hinge,
rear axle looks like its leaking
the engine is losing some oil from the filler cap thing.
no rearr bumper but one mofo of a tow hitch.
She needs a respray and all the seats reupholstering
She whines badly from about 50 mph to top speed about 60 mph. ANy advice on what to look out for?
We want to try to put a bed platfom in to do some camping , though I am just over 6ft so a platform would have to fit over the front seats somehow. What have others done
What are your thoughts oh wise ones?
Can I use veg oil/ bio fuel in her ?
Whats the mpg 25 mpg?
Anything else I should know
