Hi Im Mike 55 and here because I nearly lost it yesterday with my Rangey!
HAd it for 4 years, great source done just over 100k miles...BUT lately its been one thing after another..replaceing the usual stuff I don't have a problem..tyres, discs, brakes..exhaust system even...but transfer box...sound system...now the suspension is u/s I think the cats are needing replacing and theres a...wait for it...engine problem...its overheating and intermittently dying when both warm and cold

So where to start guys, Im on the verge of doing a Basil Fawlty (I hope even our friends across the pond will know to whom I refer) beating the damned thing with a large stick!!! :boink:

Am looking forward to some constructive advice and no not the scrapyard yet!

Hi Mike,
Now you've introduced yourself, put your question into the relevant section on the forum.
Look for the one that relates closest to your vehicle & problem.
Just sharing my experience of the forum so far, very helpful people, make use also of the 'search' facility,(don't let anyone wind you up, some love doing it lol :)) and you will find the answers to any probs you may have.
Enjoy! :D

and tell us if it's petrol or diesel. Overheat could be as simple as a duff viscous fan.

Hi guys thanks for the welcome, and for the advice about posting / car type etc.. My P38 is a 4.6 HSE petrol done 103k miles. So I decided to tackle the gas air suspension first, as long as is it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg!

No gas in the air suspension other than fresh air. I can supply the EAS cable and diagnostic cable if you need it. Generally easy to fix if you go about it logically.
