I have bought what I thought would be the complete hub assembly to change the hub on my x reg Vogue. It is a used part and looks like this

only dirtier. Is this easy to fit or is this what I need a hydraulic press to fit to the rest of the unit?

hiya jch yes that is a hub assembly mate , and no you wont need a press to fit it , although you may find the old one will take a bit of beating to remove it ( dont forget to pull out your abs sensor before trying to remove the hub also being a second hand unit make double sure its good, i.e very smooth to turn and nil play in it , its only a 1 hour job to change as a unit like you have there , it may also be a good idea to emery the matiing face`s before you re-assemble it , also be aware that the mounting bolts can be very tight so just be carefull you dont round them off , i hope this helps you .

Rick Thanks for the help. Changed the hub. Now I have problems with the ABS. It's reading a message, ABS fault, traction failure, which will be a connected issue. I could not budge the ABS sensor whilst changing the hub so changed the hub with this in situ. Therefore I have obviously damaged the sensor. Have you got any tips on how to remove the sensor so I can replace it.

hiya again your abs sensor is just a push in fit although they can get pretty well stuck after a lenght of time if your sensor is obviously damaged and not just disturbed you can remove it by gripping it with a pair of mole grips or similar and pulling at the same time twisting this should release it from it bush/housing am not sure on the p38 whether once your new sensor is fitted if the abs system will reset itself or whether it will need to go on autologic or testbook , before doing anything though just check to see if you have`nt just disturbed it .
