some angles

3090_84244000148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

at this point we were joined by leonberger, and attempted a slightly nutty lane

3090_84244015148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

3090_84244025148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

3090_84244035148_641105148_2872874_.jpg

thats quite a drop on the side there!

3090_84248225148_641105148_2872883_.jpg

3090_84248230148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

3090_84248235148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

theres that drop on the left - not all that much space!

3090_84248250148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

and this is where the damage started. the series got through ok, as you can see, on the nice short wheelbase and tonnes of clearance!

3090_84248265148_641105148_28728-1.jpg

3090_84251860148_641105148_2872908_.jpg

then it was my go, with the 110 and the side steps. longer wheelbase and less clearance - well i think we all knew how it would end before it begun

the approach - and the reason you have to go aorund!

the damage

now max with his 90

3090_84251865148_641105148_28729-1.jpg

he broke his side step

and finally leonberger with the disco

3090_84251885148_641105148_28729-1.jpg

did slight damage to the left there also - only spyders series got through unscathed!

the disco going around the tree

3090_84254960148_641105148_28729-1.jpg

and here is where the fun begins!

the lineup post after leonbergers departure

3090_84258695148_641105148_28729-1.jpg

the 110 a little muddy, and showing off the temporary tree slider

it should be said this is private farmers land, with the farmer on site with full approval - he came laong to watch for the amusement value, his is the p38 in later photo's

max attempting what the local farmers and off roaders call the 4x4 graveyard. somehow or other it was decided he should go first - through that with all terrains on - good decision that

entering

attempting

3090_84258715148_641105148_28729-1.jpg

still attempting

stuck

3090_84258745148_641105148_2872969_.jpg

and the 110 waiting in the wings, initially was going to go for it after the 90 cleared it - but that was wishful thinking it turned out

getting the 110 down to give him a tow - idea was to tow him out section by section

3090_84739170148_641105148_28759-1.jpg

quite tight

swapped the 110 for a local mechanics awesome land rover 90 - more maneuvreable in tight spaces!

by this point spyder had got through the whole section almost totally unassisted - very impressive! note the mud.

here we are - in the graveyard!

3090_84746195148_641105148_2876145_.jpg

preparing the 90 for the final 25 odd metres worth of towing - and the deepest, muddiest bit

3090_84766625148_641105148_2876802_.jpg

thats a culmination of a whole days worth of laning - i guess you mean that last lane. if so that was actually technically off roading as it was with permission on private land
