Hi,
I have a problem wondered if anyone could help.
I have a freelander 99 , 2 ltr diesel . That won't start , then will .
When I turn the key the dash lights are dim, theres a clicking sound from the fuse box (under dash) when I try to start it .
Occasionally when holding the key the lights glow bright the car starts !

I have been having problems with the indicator when I put indicator on you hear a buzz the car cuts out (engine only).

Checked all fuses they seem ok, got no hair left to scratch out could anyone help...... Please !
thanks :)

This problem with the engine cutting out when the indicators are used is cropping up regularly. It seems to be a problem with a shared earth connection high resistance (corrosion) between the ignition system and the indicators. Study appropriate wiring diagrams via 'RAVE'.

Look for bunches of black wires coming together and bolted to bare metal under dash drivers side above fuse box and under bonnet drivers side where inner wing meets bulkhead. Check that all is clean and tight.

hi,
thanks ill try that , just been out this morn had a look they all look normal so not sure . :(

The buzz you describe tells me that the ignition circuit is failing due to a bad connection somewhere and it's being overloaded by the indicators being switched on. Keep checking fuses, relays and connections for signs of looseness ,corrosion and overheating.
