help

when i fully rev my engine (1996 300tdi 110) and release, the engine seem's to want to cut out as if the fuel stoped coming though. it has only cut once and when i started it up again it started up ok. i've just had a new fuel tank fitted and was wundering if that had anything to do with it as i don't know if it did it before.

please help
