Hi All well I have an 05 Freelander TD4 over the w end my Son locked the keys in the Car
I ended up having to call the AA to get the keys out ,after half an hour the AA Man got them out by using his air pump thingy and a lot of patience getting the keys out.
After doing this he said to start up lock the car then open it a few times lock it using the fob wind the windows down etc etc.
All looked good until this morning Fob is not doing anything opened the car with the key put key in the ignition and nothing no lights nothing alarm fob does nothing so now I have the keys but can not use the car is there a quick fix? or is it that the immobilizer has shut the car down?

No lights at all means flat battery :)
Can you switch the sidelights on?
I think your problems are unrelated!

Don't know anything about immobilisers etc but I can recommend a really good locksmith in staple hill who sorted out my key/alarm issues. It might be worth a phone Call?

sounds like battery in fob with out knocking the immobiliser off. try locking it with the key then unlocking with key but turn it twice to the right. hope this helps and the AA used their inflatables have a look at the door when shut to see if it has gone back level with the other door.and there is another way of getting into the car with out using these little air bags.
