hi, i'm new to the site and i'm after some help.
i have a diesel 5dr freelander.underneath the wagon situated on the prop shaft there is a cover which slides over a part of the p/shaft which has rubber segments.firstly could anyone tell me what it is and does,secondly my one keeps slipping off, is it a big job to fix it and what damage will it do if i don't get it rectified.i live in the mountains in spain and the only mecanic in a 50 mile radiace does not speak english for me to explain the situation.so would i do any harm driving approx 50 miles on it. please help
