Can anyone advise ??
I am in process of buying 1962 series 2 and have noticed that the wheel arch in the pictures dont seem the same as other series 11s , in fact they look like series 1 86" , in attached picture of car im buying you can see the point where rear wheel arch meets cross member it is straight and does not curve up , Does anyone know if this is correct on early series 11s ??? thanks

Been trying to find a New or as New side for 2 years in the end my bro used the best he could get s/h Serious cash for those sides!!

If needed theres a brand new side in the local scrappy here, passenger side though

I just picked up a real nice straight rear tub too, seems a shame to chop the wheel arches a little to make it fit the 35's but has to be done

Sorted now. Bro got semi good ones. The problem is everyones version of straight and good tub seems drastically different to our idea of a good one.

Bro's 88 coming along nicley but slowly. once the back tailgate is on its getting pushed out the way so we can cage his 90 comper ready for the nats.

Closed cell foam heat resistant to way higher that I ever thought possible from a sticky backed jobbie cheap on ebay. Galve bulkhead and chassis. Rebuilt everything salisbury rear axle I think Detroit locker (been a few years) and the front is tru track but its a road motor not sure if its getting a Tdi Original plan or now 2.5 Petrol with some power and economy mods. All hinges on the how smooth the diesel can be on button type mounts if its at all harsh it will get binned for the ultra smooth petrol with some nice power and economy mods to make it a silky smooth series.

Back to topic if you want nice sides they do exist but...........god knows where everyone lists them as having them but there was a 7 month back order on one particulat side panel. Hence a good s/h one was sourced after i think 3 tubs were brought bits used and other bits discarded

Short rear prop with the sals rear ?

No std rear prop, wheels are always look too far forward in a series arch if you have anything bigger than a 750 so the axle has been moved rearward by an inch. If he sells the galvy 109 he brought then the new mitchelin 825's will go on the 88/89

Fair enough, I'm making up new spring plates for the axle conversion so I may drill the holes an inch further forward on the axle spring plate so it can sit a little back as I'm running 35's and they do look a little close to the front end of the arch
