if its petrol check the coils
mine was doing a similar thing started and drove ok but stuttered a bit when coming back on power, and would miss on change down up hills

I assume you mean you got some bits from the breakers and fixed your car, on account that scrapping the car due to a duff ignition coil seems a bit drastic.
