Help with Freelander Front Wipers

Hey, does anyone know if its a common problem for the intermittent setting on the front wipers to stop working and what the solution is ? Car is a 2005 Freelander which i have owned for 6 months, all other settings on the wipers are fine - i have been told that the intermittent setting has "lost" its park position, can it find it again ?

It's a common problem and I had it with mine. Really annoying. Although there is a fix as Chr1s has pointed to, I fitted a 2nd hand wiper motor I found on ebay for a tenner.

Lots of info on here regarding how to do the changeover (about 30-45 mins)

If you not handy with the spanners, lots of mobile mechanics around nowadays. Shouldn't charge more than £30-40ish
