Trying to fit rear crank oil seal in my 200 tdi.
Engine is out and on a trolley, buggered one up trying to knock it in
Cant get it to push over the plastic collar supplied with it and on to the crank, just too difficult without damaging the flimsy metal outer.
I have left it soaking in oil overnight hoping that it will soften up and make it easier to slide on
Is there a trick to getting it on or am I just a dope ?
