why would you need 200 amps?
will your alternator put out 200 amps?
a split charge system cant magic amps out of thin air

no only got an 100 amp altonator but i am going to run a separate battery for my winch and would like the batt to be as charged as it can be i have used the 180 amp split relays befor and blown them up so thought i might go to a higher rated one any ideas

no, but heavy winching can draw power from both batteries THROUGH the split charge. If its held long enough it will burn out lower rated relays.
thats why caravan ones are complete crap.
OR, he has a twin alternator set-up both running 100amp alts. and a bank of 4 batteries

i use a tmaxx digital split charge sytem and have never had any problems with it you can also link both batteries and the touch of a button..

the downside to all those small sized relays is ya cant get the big connectors and heavy enough guage cable onto them.
its no good having a "200 amp" relay and then runnin a small guage wire to the battery it will just melt

i would like to use 38 mm 2 guage as i have some spaire i know that it is over the top but my mrs would neaver let me take our daughter out again if some thing whent wrong and we were stuck and thats not what i want so all help is usefull will look tomorrow at the 200 amp rela and see
