Hi all, im new on here & also quite new to owning a P38 Rangey V8. Thing is, ive heard loads of stories about having them re-mapped for better economy & performance. As mine is only a 4.0, shes quite sluggish, id like to get it chipped. Has anyone had this done? Any better etc ??

Thanks for the help.

had my 4.6 done years ago for 200 quid huge difference had mine optimised for performance and it does make a difference cant remember the name of the co but could dig it out they were in West London sorry not much help

I have fitted a pair of Tornado chips by Mark Adams, I chose the sport option it has transformed the performance and I get reasonable economy.

i had mine done by paul at gcl tuning in bury st edmunds (suffok) its so much smoother with bags of extra torque.

my the wifes discovery TD6 has also just been done its also much smoother the autobox changes a lot better and the turbo seems to kick in from the word go.

all in all very happy

well maybe but i would not try it.... my friend had a try with a cheap remapping tool and blew the engine controll unit to bits.

I would call a reccomed company and ask, in know had an offer at the bury st edmunds motor show on sunday they may be willing to do a deal or give je or twisted performance as they also do there maps.
