Hi Guys,
I've been the owner of a 110 now for a few years.. its a dog let me tell you , it was bought as a on the road project!.. Any way lets cut the long story short, when i bought it; it was fitted with a discovery 200tdi and SY4x4 did comment as much of a bodged fit it was it lined up well on the front end.
The main question really is could you fit a 200tdi engine on the V8 engine mounts ? I'm obviously trying to work out what and how they've done it as its slightly leaning to the right and I'm wanting to tidy things up as I look to fit a new engine as the 200tdi ideally needs a rebuild its tired, the pistons are blowing too.. I'm wanting to fit another 200tdi (ideally rebuilt) with a auto box. If its possible that its fitted on the V8 mounts how would one raise it on the right hand side to 'level' the engine off ? I'm presuming that there's some sort of bracket.
Also am I right in thinking still to buy a short bell housing to bring the stick back inline for the gearbox ? the gear stick is currently sat back and the middle seat has been removed. I do know about the adapter plates to bring the stick forward and this is also another option but is that just for the manual gearbox ?
Any information will greatly be received
