So I was following the Haynes manual to do a service, changing the fuel filter I read to take the top bolt off... Aaand then further down for the 200tdi that you just need to unscrew the filter straight off. So ####ed up there. Put the bolt back in the top and must of overtightened it and snapped it.

Where do I order a new one of these Banjo bolts anyone? :(

nope, just screw it in... thats why the holes are set back,

and thats the same part number that you posted before...

Hmm, looks the same. Read on somewhere that had the fuel line assembly that its the correct one for the 200tdi, ordered it and some new washers, hopefully its the right one. Guess I will just tighten it a little at first, if there are any leaks then carefully tighten it a little more. One I took out was probably a britpart piece or something :p

Will tighten it by hand and just give it a little turn with the wrench, fire her up and check for leaks, give it another little turn if there are any leaks! Annoying that I won't be able to drive the landy cause of a banjo bolt for a couple days... Could be worse, could be a broken banjo string ;)

It says to undo a bolt to bleed it, I'm guessing he's took the wrong one off. Doesn't normally need bled anyway, at least mine never has when I've changed the filter

nor mine when i did it at the weekend just chucked a bit of diesel in it first

I was following the illustrations like a muppet that can't read and only look at pictures. Turned out that was for a different model (petrol maybe?). Looked further down and it said for 200-300tdi's just unscrew the filter... Was too late, had already taken the bolt off!

you might get lucky and find a banjo bolt in your local engineering/fasteners place if you can't wait

:clap2::hysterically_laughi:scratching_chin: not one of those mistakes you make twice tho is it :)

never bled my 300 either, or filled it with fuel.
change filter, start it up, when it starts to cough, foot to the floor, it'll either pick up and be fine, or it'll die.
If it dies it usually fires back up pretty easily.

Yeah, apparently they are self priming. If not you just pump the lever on the lift pump up and down a few times?
