Help park brake fault

My park brake fault is on, Ive tried to do the low range gear thing but I must be doing it wrong, is there anybody in the Manchester area that could do this for me ?

is it an auto / manual and what year plse

what is the light doing, is it steady or flashing

is there any messages coming up on the instrument panel

is it the only light that’s on, would u be so kind to take a picture with the engine running plse of the light

also am a d3 owner so will try and help all i can

Its a manual, 2007, the light is just on, no flashing, no other lights.

appreciate the pic, there is a few things that can reset that

however i don’t wish to be responsible and i think the best course of action is to get a local garage to look at it along with plugging it into a diagnostic reader

I dont know about resolving my issues, I seem to have caused myself a few ! I would like to point out that I wasnt actually asking anybody to fix my car - just point me in the right direction, maybe explain where I am going wrong. I did not understand the protocol of asking for help with a landy problem on a landrover site. I didnt realise i had to formerly introduce myself. Apologies.

Imagine boing into a new to you pub and walking up to a bunch of blokes having a chin wag and expecting to be welcomed into their fold without saying hello/please/may names etc etc.

This like many land rover forums is a good place full of good people, theres the of **** but hes a yank so we dont care about him!
Of course if you go into the anything goes zone all bets are off

Anyway back to your park brake there are many many things that can cause it, all are a simple fix once you know whats what, and as Gary points out getting the codes read is a good start.
You also need to add more info, was it noisy? delayed release/application? basically everything you can think of relevant or not
Ive had it when rushing got me the park brake waring come up, on and off a few times sorted it.

Thank you, apparently I cause this by clutch riding and bad gear changes. Im ashamed to say this is the third time ive done it, I took it to a garage and was given a hefty quote for repair, a friend of mine said no - low range gears, reboots it. And it did. Have tried myself but Im going wrong somewhere.

may i ask what did they quote u for plse , was it a new EPB module , when u put the hand brake on in the past did it screech
