Help on what to get

I think im going to sell my series2 88" v8 landie, its got parabolic springs, procomp shocks, polybushed lt95 box, series3 front wings, mach 5 rims colway mt tyres, super nick really. BUT, i want to have something with a bit more articulation so what do i need
Defender i presume but which is the best 200tdi/300tdi/v8???, which gearbox is the better?
do they come with 24 spline shafts?
Winches or lockers, which would you have first?
Is a cage only necessary if you go heavy off roading?
What i suppose im saying is which is most adaptable for green laning and the pay and play days, and what parts would you reckon id need on it.

Well i found a poll on here that reckons the 200tdi is the best, so can anybody help on the rest please

For green laning you shouldn't need tons of kit. If you do, you are either trashing the place, or drving into places that are beyond you abilities.

no im not trashing anything, ive had one landy and want to upgrade to something that'll do whatever when the time comes to it, if i get good/confident enough. I dont wanna buy something then realise i need somethingelse. Being an old fart i wanna be able to get out of where i go in! Well thats the idea.
