Having an ongoing problem with oil in coolant system and wondering if anybody can help.
Noticed the problem late last year and took the car to my local L/R man.
He diagnosed a radiator/oil cooler crack as there was no sign of oil system contamination or loss / overheating. Common fault apparently.We replaced the radiator.
Problem persisted so no other alternative but to get the head off and check the gasket. Gasket looked fine so head was tested and planed as it was very slightly warped but no cracks.
All back together,run and system flushed/refilled two weeks later.
Checked under the bonnet today and yup you guessed it - sludge back in the header tank.
Stuck for ideas now - any suggestions ????
