Help needed!

Hi there i am new to the land rover world i am looking at a t reg discovery in red td5 with 99700 miles on the clock. I am looking at paying 4600 for it does this seem right and anything to look out for.

Also am looking at getting into the off road side of it i live in ashford an Kent any advice where to start?
