I have just bought a disco one 300 tdi auto

it is a bit of an odd ball as it is V reg but it has a manual fuel pump not edc

I have a fairly full service history only 115,000 miles and a change of pump is not mentioned and it looks very original

the immoiliser is on, I have tried the 1 5 15 decode and that didn't work

is it fairly easy to change the ecu

I bought the car for the tyres but it is too much an odd ball to break

any help on how to get i going would be great

based in North Wilts

It was just something I saw on google which said there was a default code 1 to the right 5 to the left and repeat

but I don't have the eka code

I take it that the "V" in the registration is a prefix therefore the year is 1999 and u have a one of the last 1998MY D1s, and also I take the engine doesn't crank when trying to start, if so, there is lot of info already in the forum on how to bypass that perticular immobiliser circuit along with the electrical circuit to the pump, if the engine cranks but doesn't fire.

All UK 98MY auto models had EDC fitted when they left the factory, why your doesn't then you can find out, do you have the standard green coloured security ecu fitted ? as you have enquire on replacing it, have you found it to be faulty? the EKA access code won't help if it is, and do your key fobs function okay??
