is there a way that i can crimp the cable back together
or will this still show up wen i mot it
if not is there a way of getting it through the mot without buying a new 1 as i beleive to buy a new one could cost me around £150
could really do with some help as this is my first landrover & i do not know much about them
could do with some1 local to me to help go over problems i have with my freelander
thanks steve

Yes just cold crimp it. . . . .get sum self almagermating tape [rubber tape that only sticks to itself] and stretch that around joint ,smeer a bit er mud round it :D:):):):)

solder or crimp will either ways make the light on the dash go off
& will the abs still work
or is this just gonna get it through its mot

if you do it well enough it is doing it properly.. if there's nout wrong with the sensor then what a waste of the world's andf the owner's resources buying a new one.. and they are wired internally so replacing the whole wire would be a pig of a job.. crimp and solder them up and use the heatshrink tubing like MHM said in his first post and you should have as good ABS as you had before.. that being said why did it snap cos if you don't work that out you aren't gonna be any better off cos it will just snap again..

Always remember, you've nothing to lose & everything to gain by trying a repair on a cable or connector. Worst case scenario is that if it doesn't work, then you just have to fit a new or secondhand one which you were thinking of doing anyway.
