Hello everyone,
New guy in town here from Denmark and my first post in this marvellous Land Rover forum.
I have just bought this nice old '68 SIIA 109 Station Wagon in Street (Somerset) and need to get the Landy, myself and a friend transported to the harbour in Harwich this Saturday the 12th or Sunday the 13th. It needs restore but is driveable and got MOT, V5, roadtax and plates, but my problem is that I can't get an UK insurance because I am not living in UK and I can't get a Danish insurance because the Landy isn't registrated in Denmark. The seller don't have the time to drive it to the ferry and of course won't let me drive on his insurance.
Anyone got a good idea? Or know a not too expensive transport company? Or someone in the area who likes a challenge and got a big trailer and a Landy and wants to make some extra £ besides the fuel? It's about 230miles/370km mostly on motorway.
All advices are welcome
