Thanks for the messages, it seems like a good forum. Re the petrol consumtion, yes the Z does like a drink, I can average 19mpg over a year. I know a P38 is worse but with LPG I was hoping for the equivalent of 30mpg ish.

We only run one car as the misses doesn't have a license so I can justify a nicer one (can't bring myself to get a diesel Mondeo just yet) and as the cars I go for are older they've done their depreciating which I maintain is usually the biggest cost of motoring, more so then fuel.

I like the odd bit of spannering, it's a hobby I can get brownie points for. Maintaining the car is a worthwhile, money saving activity.

All of the above mght be total bollox but it works in my mind!! Soon 4.6 V8's will be illegal and so will SUV's (stupid name!!) so I want to get my go in now.
