Hello!

Just thought I'd be polite and say hello as I've just joined.

My wife and I are on the brink of purchasing a J-reg Discovery 200 TDi with 170K miles on the clock....so I'm sure I'll be a regular visitor to this site from now on . I know how to wield a spanner but mostly on Rover's...we have an 820 Vitesse turbo and are trading in a 416 for the Disco.

Incidentally, I joined from home last night but was unable to type any text in the compose window when I tried to write this post (I'm doing this from work). Has anyone come across this problem...and if so what settings do I need to change on my PC . I noticed the only thing that was off was HTML...could that be the problem and if so, how do I turn it on?

For reference, I don't get this on other forums - I'm a member of several car related forums such as rovertech.net and SXOC.com which have a broadly similar format to this one and can post there no problem...

Hello mate and welcome to the site, Its a good job you can use a spanner if your buying into the world of landys haha but you've got to love em though.

Just sorted it thanks.

I had the editting option set to the super-spankie default. Presume as my PC refuses to work with JavaScript, that caused a problem.

Down-graded to the middle option (enhanced standard or similar) and all seems well..! Don't seem to be able to use smilies, but I don't think that's a big issue!!

Right - off to ask some inane questions in the Discovery section...!! ;-)
