I came onto this forum to find out more spec wise and just to get some inspiration as i have found out that the insurance is the same as my mg zr ?!?! insane. I have always been interested in all kind of vehicles from quads to dakar comp landys.....

Could anyone tell me what the spec of a 90 ( SWB ) v8 3.5 is .

mpg
0-60
top speed
power
torque

ect ect.

Plus could you also give me tips on what to look out for when buying. I know rust can be a problem but most lanys are actually looked after very nicely.

mpg not much 8-12
0-60 12ish
top speed If ya got the balls to try it

MPG depends on how you drive it offroad you'll be looking at 4mpg ish on a run upto 28ish also depends alot on tyres
0-60 how long ya got they all differ too many factors like tyres
top speed faster than you would want to go in what is essentially a piece of agricultural equipment
power on carbs 115bhp with efi yer might push 150bhp and given the right tuning (use a tvr engine!) yer looking at upto 500bhp on the 5.0l but it will be fragile

torque enough to drag itself trough holes that other jap stuff get stuck in

rust points are
chassis: all of it
bulkhead: by the door hinges and the footwells
door frames

the rest is nearly all ali

i have seen it mate it was on the way to billing on the a14 but we managed less than 4mpg round the off road course due to some prat in a lada riva thing getting stuck every 5 seconds(we were in a RRC auto so it should have got less mpg than a 90 as its heavier and has an autobox
