Hello everyone I am looking forward to browsing and learning as much as possible on these forums.
I am Manchester based and have a couple of classics Porsche 944 and a Lotus. I have got the itch for a Defender so have been looking for a while at them but prices seem to be all over the place.
Ideally would like a 90 td5 prefer a more road oriented set up, Is a budget of 7k realistic?

Have yer driven one yet? Tratters int known to have a porche like performance. Or steering.

Any particular reason why you want a Defender but more set up for the road?
Why not a Disco Td5? They are great on the road, out of the box, but go most places a Defender will and will carry stuff more easily. (Wider rear door opening).
If it is the looks you want then I understand.;) But scrotes are more likely to try and nick em, and stuff off em, than Discos.:(
(Have to say I am a bit prejudiced.)

Hi Yes love the looks of the Defender

Defender is the "Ram-raider of choice" up and down the land.
Heavy enough to reverse up and safely do the plate glass windows near the baccy-part of the store and to drag the doors and the ATM out of the wall ;)
Nice motors too. Not so fast on the getaway though. best all jump into a hopped-up corsa for that and leave the stolen Landy in the hole.:D
Well, that's what they do round here in Essex.
