Many apologies it has been amiss of me not to introduce myself sooner so here goes.
I am the very proud and chuffed owner of Lola the Landy who brings a brilliant smile to my face every time I drive. Over the years I've owned a long list of old British sports cars and a Land Rover has always been on my list during that time. Purchased Lola last year as an early pre-retirement gift to myself. While Lola is in really good condition. I am currently working on improvements and trying hard to persuade my partner that a Landy can be a refined and comfortable drive !!
Lola hangs around in the leafy lanes of Warwickshire and is my daily drive. Fortunately I don't have to go very far to work.
And why the name of Lola ? Well amongst our house full of cats, we have one very old and grand lady called Lola - and the similarities between her and the Landy are manyfold, such as old, forgetful, does not like the cold, needs a lot of encouragement plus a special diet and she occasionally 'leaks': the list could go on, but on the positive side when the sun is out, Lola loves curling up on the bonnet of the landy and dreaming.
