Good afternoon everyone. My name is Ian and I'm 60 years of age and have been a discovery 3 owner just a little over a year now. I live with my wife Bev and crazy Labrador Ollie in Chatham Kent. I purchased the Discovery to tow a twin axle caravan, which my wife and I intend to tour extensively with, now I am entering my golden years.
So far the Discovery has a had a few repairs, but nothing I didn't expect for the age of the vehicle, which is a 2005 vintage. It tows our caravan almost with ease and in at times I forget it's even on the hook. I was quite surprised that when towing the caravan, the fuel consumption was around 22-23mpg. I was figuring on around 17-18mpg. Perhaps others could indicate if 22-23mpg is a fair average when towing with TDV6.
