Hello all, just a quick post to say hi from a new LR owner in Creswell (Technically in derbyshire, but with a Notts postcode - the border is 200yds from my house, and South Yorkshire is about 2 miles away!)
I have finally managed to find the right LR for my needs and have just acquired a 1995 M Discovery 300TDi in excellent condition and only 90,000m... Well chuffed!
I was planning on fresh oil all round and fitting new belts when next months wages come in next week, but unfortunately Murphy has been busy with his law again - Fan belt snapped on me yesterday!
Got a new one ordered (would be in stock an hour after a got to work yesterday, so had to drive without - my god thats hard work!) which i picked up first thing this morning to fit, DOH... it's too short. Managed to get her running by lifting the tensioner out of its keyway - not quite right i know but it works.
After a bit of calling round, got the right size (1595) on order from paddocks. Also ordered a new tensioner as the current one is looking a little shady!
Quick Q: Does anyone know of a LR specialist in my local area (Chesterfield/Mansfield/Worksop)?
I know paddocks is in matlock but it's still just about cheaper to have stuff delivered from there!
