Hi All,
A quick hello and also looking for good sound advice which seems to come naturally from this site.
I live near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire and am having rough running problems with my P38 Range Rover on both petrol and lpg. Backfires a little - sometimes. Runs so smooth other times. I have had new HT leads fitted and a Bosch original MAF which have worked to a degree but the problem exists. I have seen other similar threads about backfiring but I am convinced mine is an easy fix as it doesn't happen all the time as long as someone who knows these cars can look at it. I have tried two local garages who are not Landrover specialists, I still have the fault. I have tried Landrover specialists in Bedfordshire but the customer service (I chased three times - promised to be called back but the call never came) is dreadful. As such, I don't want to give them my money.
Does anyone out there live locally who can help or know of a good knowledgeable garage locally? Naturally, time is money so I am willing to pay someone to look at it, just want to find the right person!
Thanks,
Clive

I have a P38 with an early lpg system fitted that does much the same - when it is in need of a good service. This usually well before the regular service interval is up. Sometimes it blows assorted breather etc pipes off the engine which make it worse...

There is P38 & lpg specialist nr Buntingford that we use - don't know anyone nearer to Biggleswade, happy to pass on details if you want - PM me.
