Hello everyone new member old problem

I will say hello and apologies for bringing up a subject that from looking at your site before I bought my freelander td4 2006 has been well covered and seems to divide opinions, I used the advice that was available here to look for a td4 without a tow bar , no sunroof, one owner, and full service history the last ten years done at land rover main dealer,I was given a new mot 4 new matching tyres , I had a major service done with issues apparent, there is 137,000 miles on the clock but my problem is I can't find any information on the VCU unit being changed,I spoke to the dealer who has said they did not do any work on it , I can't get any contact with previous owner so I know it seems they only last about 70,000 miles roughy there is no obvious signs of any problem with it as yet , I would appreciate any input from anyone on this decisive subject , i Know it's a big ask but does anyone know of any garages that would fit my parts I am in Scotland, thank you .
