Despite any thoughts of sense I bought us a cheap but sound (at least on the surface) '98 4.6 Vogue last week.

Completely love it, although I can already tell that I'm going to be getting quite intimate with her over time :)

The plan is to use it for a month or two sort out any bits, and if it's all looking ok convert to lpg. It feels too much of a shame to worry about flooring it with that lovely engine.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I have this awesome feature whereby you can really annoy everyone for miles around with the alarm. It decided to go off while driving and after stopping and trying every combination of locking and unlocking it with key, remote, ignition and it eventually stopped. Came on a bit later once I had stopped. After another random combination and it went off, it hasn't come back on again since. This was yesterday - and 60 miles ago.

Inside light wasn't working when I bought it, unless you opened the doors, all seems happy now.

It hasn't really been used too much in the last couple of years and recently had its battery replaced.

I know the pre-bosch p38 had a bit of a mind of their own electronically but everything else seems happy (for now).

I'm based near Gloucester/Cheltenham, and was going to get her checked out and serviced (mainly for the service history) locally, does anyone have any good suggestions of good places to go?

Good to meet you all.
