I've just signed up, and this is my first post!
A quick bit about us: I am one half of the 'Modern-Day Explorers', a tounge-in-cheek name for two blokes who love to go greenlaning in the glorious south-east of Blighty. We have (perhaps unwisely given the amount of work we've unwittingly taken on) vowed to drive every single greenlane in Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent in our Defender TDCi 110, record our experiences, and share them as a guide for others who are interested in following in our tracks.
We promote responsible driving and a deep love and respect for Land Rovers, the countryside and the environment. We use a rating system where 5 is elite and 0 is inaccessible, and provide a Google map, statistics (where available, and accurate), starting and finishing OS and GPS co-ordinates, and a detailed description backed up with photographs of every lane so that you can decide whether or not to try it yourselves. There's also a trail-biker on YouTube who videos many of the lanes he drives, where these are relevant I've embedded his videos into our posts.
Given the size of this task, it is obviously a project that is incomplete, but it is constantly growing as and when we drive more lanes. Indeed we have almost 120 entries already! I hope you'll check us out and will find the site useful. You can click on MODERN-DAY EXPLORERS, or visit http://moderndayexplorers.blogspot.com. We look forwards to hearing from you.
All the best, James and Marc.
