In (what I thought was a genius move) bought it as it's ULEZ exempt! (unlike my old mazda bongo!) well. done. me! But, just realising that the money I'm probably/ excitedly going to spend on it is going to out weigh that! not. so. well. done. me!!
Purists don't hate me, a 1972, same age as me, with a 2.5l diahatsu (think the jury is out on them), fairey drive and p38 power steering. Twin tanks, 2 x 12v batteries. Was a company mascot for 15 years, so seems to have been quite loved - chassis isn't patched, body ok ( v slight surface rust on body wheel arch surrounds (whats a good fix for that?). Converted from left hand drive.
Had all the pick axe and shovels on - but have taken them off so they don't encourage random vandalism (by me when if it breaks down).
Its got that vice and winch added - apparently by the dutch army, and that air filter/ mini pizza oven too, and those wheels and tyres.
Lots of things to look at/ fix that Flossie and ER1C have already been helping me with - as I'm no mechanic - so already working as my new hobby/midlife crissis, and the kids have already asked about staging an 'intervention' and their inheritance
Hope you like it. (hides behind sofa)
