I was wondering if any of you good people could come to my assistance once again, after yesterday’s radio issue (which was my fault) I sorted it with guidance given..
So my L322 TD6 come to me with heavy power steering, previous owner had changed the servo tronic control valve with a new one but still had heavy steering, so I sent BCM to be tested, he found a fault and rectified also ran up on his test rig and all good.
I have open AND short circuit fault codes showing (which is a contradiction in terms), I have 12v at solenoid while stationary, resistance of 7.8ohms at the solenoid and wiring back to BCM. I am at a total loss to the fault.
sometimes I get ‘normal steering’ for a few seconds after about 5seconds from start up but not often.
I am starting to doubt the pump BUT the codes are throwing me away from a mechanical issue….
