I won a Disco 1 tank guard on eBay the weekend and picked it up from Redhill, Surrey (Jn8 of the M25) earlier today.
The following ad is purely to advise fellow LZ'ers of it's sale & whereabouts, as I think someone might be in for a nice little bargain given how heavily modded it is.
I am not on commission of any description and this sale has nothing to do with me - just a friendly heads-up of what I saw today.
The info I can remember on it is as follows:
It's a 1995 N Discovery 300tdi Auto 5dr.
It has NO tax or MOT. Mileage is 140k. It has air-con.
Log book present and belongs to seller.
It is a perfect runner but the front inner wings are as rotten as they can get.
It has the following mods:
Guardian tubular winch bumper and CTA12000 winch
Heavy duty rear bumper inc jacking points
Rock sliders inc jacking points
50mm Flatdog extended arches
Snorkel
Chequer plated bonnet
Steering guard
2" lift
Chunky AT tyres
Nato Hitch
Twin batteries (2nd one in the boot)
Limo tinted rear windows (excluding front windows, of course)
Huge 4-spot light bar which attaches to the front bumper
Rear light guards
CB Radio
I took a few pics while I was there too.
The guy was making noises around the £1300 mark but I think this could be had for a lot less.
I know nothing more about it other than what I've put above.
It'll need trailering away for obvious reasons.
I've told the chap I'd ask around for him and would pass on his number to anyone who was genuinely interested.
