hi can any one help, been looking at other posts in regards to L322 heater blower fan resistors and need some advise or guidance from someone whos been there and got the t shirt so to speak.
last year Aug 17 air con was blowing hot air out instead of cold, had air con checked and no leaks, compressor was judged to have failed by MD so paid for what i thought was an exchanged air con unit but infact what they changed was a component on the air con unit that detects the heat etc only about £70 for the part but a £600 bill to fit? he ho so not going back to that dealer. meanwhile if car was stood for say a week battery was flat.
got RAC out recon battery was no good, so brought new battery, since then air con was working good when used but if car was stood and not used for a week, battery has gone flat a few times. Went to use the car in the bad snow we had and no fan working , no air con no blower but all lights come on, seats work and sterring wheel heater so could at least use her but took for ages for windscreen to clear due to having to rely on front and rear screen heaters to clear ice and snow from screen. any way took the car to different RR dealer as still arguing over rip off of last air con unit. They recon they have changed the resisitors?? ahve had chance to clarify which ones but assume they mean the FSR and no telling me that fan is blowing on full all the time?. now saying the fan is giving them a reading that is high so believe fan is not working correctly and recon it over £2k to change fan as they have to take dash out to get to it and that is an 11 hour job at £110 per houtr, plus cost of , fan and resitor, cant believe a car with 50k on clock and only 6 year old is going to have cost me nearly 3k in 7 months. any ideas
