Our 110 is having trouble firing up, making a clicking noise several times over before starting (it took 20+ attempts to get going at the weekend!). Could it be the heater plugs, an ignition failure or the beginning of a problem with the starter motor? It's not as bad after it has been driven within a hour or so....
Thanks

If it just clicks and won't turn over then the heater plugs can be removed from the equation.

Your problem is getting the starter to move - so, starter solenoid has had it or the relay that controls the starter has had it. If the click is from the starter motor itself (get an assistant to turn key while you listen) then try smacking it with a fence post and it may then work fine for a while.

Long term solutions are: A take it off and take it to a starter/alternator repair shop who will recon it, B order a new one, C rebuild the solenoid yourself (if you think the motor itself is still good).

Try CCW tools, they do some brilliant upgrated starters.
