hi all just bought a new heater plug resistor . however have noticed the old one all the wires go to one terminal on it as the coil is snaped on the old one would i be right in thinking this has been done to bridge the coil . and do i just wire the new one up with the one wire to the heater plugs and the rest leave on the other side . and will the old set have done any damage to the heater plugs cheers

Are you sure it was not done to fit parallel heater plugs? The most common way to rewire for the new type heaters is to use one terminal of the balast resistor as it is convenient point to common the wires...
If they are the old series heaters there is a fair chance thay are u/s.

sorted thanks but i left it running for a while .and now i think i have run out of fuel on one of the tanks it just stopped might have to bleed the system . bloody twin tanks and no fuel gauge . its to dark now so will have to wait. got to find out how to bleed it first cheers
