heater matrix

A new matrix isn`t that much if you can get a pattern part but the labour could be high if its behind the dash - my RR Classic was £65 for the part but about £350 for the labour because they had to strip the dash then reassemble it.
I`d ring round for a few quotes from independents if I were you. If you are willing to travel try Harris Mayes in Rickmansworth Herts (just off J17/18 M25), they should lend you a courtesy car anyway and you just pay for the petrol - number is 01923 711800 - they look after my RR and Defender and have been very good so far.
 
oh well dash out matrix out just got to order part 172 pound from main dealer just got to refit it all now nice
 
Someone on ere did a fix wiffout taking the dash out. Short lengths of pipe and hose clips if I remembers correctly. Think they chopped through the pipe, un slid the old matrix out, then newun in, then added pipe to complete the circuit.

It was a temporary fix. leakey heater cut supply and outlet hose join together and by pass heater until you can fix it , save your money thing.

He was going to lemans race and got a leak. Keep in your fix it boxwhen driving. 2 hose clamps and hose coupling thats it.

£600 at LandRover indy. B Expensive. If it isn't too bad leave it and put down an absorbent pad in passenger footwell.
 
dash back in new matrix in place and all for the sum of 74 pounds and about 6 hours work not bad for a woman a just radio to put back in landrover wanted 1200 to do it .and we are very good customers of our local dealer that was them doing us a deal lol .they offed me a job in there workshop
