Series 3 Heater control cables

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Heater Control Cables (Bowden Cables) have to be specifically made for the car? Or can I use a throttle cable from a lawn mower etc.?

Would have thought they don’t have to be Land Rover specific.

So long as the dimensions are the same, and it's a solid inner, should be fine.

Most BL / Austin /Morris cars of the same vintage will have the same sort of cable ...

Make sure it the solid core one, usually for a choke or summat similar ...
