Hi, I've been looking at upgrading mine also. There seems to be a couple of options - one is a Quadoptic headlamp conversion and another is Diamond Eyes headlamp units. To be perfectly honest, I don't know what the difference is and which is the better performer. If anyone else has more info on this it would be much appreciated.

or the Wipac Crystals, seen these on a ex mil round me, he has the same lamps in as me on standard lenses, but the beam is Sooooo much clearer/brighter.
IMO, from what I have read, a beam controlled by the reflector (ie the wipac crystal or the diamond eye hutch mentioned will have a better beam pattern/range.
those that use the lens to control the beam loose some clarity and range as some light is lost through internal reflection.
Crystals can be had for £30 on ebay (wipac copies, still glass lensed,and look ok)

I have a light bar and 4 spots looking fir a home,
The ex mil? Is. A 110? If so I was peaking to him in the pub, he took bolt on bits advise and he said there sh*t, I have some 100/160w h4 bulbs ( for off road use) there nice n bright,
I also have 4x 130w spots on the cage, on full beem that's 740w of seeing power

Not tonight but can do tommorrow. These were a quick fix to get me through winter, driving around north yorkshire they,ve done me all right

just as good as eny you see on fleebay and only £20 and a £5 for bulbs looks the sames as my mates lights and he paid £100 for his lol

Yeah what I figured. I don't wanna get too pricey as I seem to be a target for suicidal pheasants and have replaced them twice already.
I actually shattered the one light surround on the way back from buying the Landy as two pigeons sat on central reservoir chose me to top themselves!

Only had my Landy a month and as I've already said, I've been looking at headlight upgrades. I have just been out to have a look to see exactly what headlights are on the vehicle and it turns out they are Wipac Quadoptics. So, I can confirm that these are crap and it would definitely appear that the crystal route is the way to go. Next question is - what's the best bulb to use?
